Keith Young receives his awardThe manager of the Middlesex Schools’ FA Under-14 Representative Squad, Keith Gussy Young, has received a special Community Champions award from the London Borough of Brent. As well as being a stalwart of the Middlesex Schools’ FA, Keith has volunteered for the Brent Schools’ FA for some 29 years and it was for this he received his award.

Keith (pictured, receiving his award) was one of 19 tireless volunteers from across the Borough who were recognised at a special ceremony on 4th November.

The Mayor of Brent, Councillor Lesley Jones MBE said: "These 19 Community Champions have between them dedicated hundreds of years of voluntary service to their communities. Whether that has been in campaigning for libraries or championing athletics, cricket and football; supporting their neighbourhoods or raising awareness of dementia; or helping young people with sport or education – they have one thing in common: they have all changed lives for the better. I was so proud as Mayor to say a huge thank you on behalf of the people of Brent."

Keith’s passion for Schools’ Football at both District and County level shines through all he does each season and all of his colleagues at MSFA would like to congratulate Keith on this well-deserved recognition.
