Guerin Nimi and Wichtor Wachala scored to send Middlesex U16s into the semi-final of the South East England Schools’ FA competition.

Middlesex enjoyed the perfect start when after two minutes striker James Bromley was hacked down inside the box. Midfielder Guerin Nimi stepped up and rifled the penalty into the top corner. Kent rallied and the Middlesex defence of  Moragn Whittick, Keith Taziwa, David Oppong- Wiafe and skipper Michael O’ Neil had to defend for their lives at times. Keeper Josh Bierne made a superb save from point blank range to keep Middlesex in front. In the second half Christos Georgacopoulos was introduced into midfield and impressed on his debut. The tie was sealed when Nimi broke into the box and cut the ball back to Wichtor Wachala to emphatically drive home. Kent scored a consolation goal a minute from time but it is Middlesex who go through to play Hertfordshire.
