Inner London 1-2 Middlesex
SEESFA LC Hill Trophy
Middlesex Schools' FA's Under-16 squad secured their first win of the season in the LC Hill Trophy with a hard-fought win away to Inner London.
The Seaxes travelled with a weakened squad, and were missing five players. The absentees included Henry Marku, who was on trial at AFC Wimbledon. The squad reshuffle resulted in a call-up for Dawid Chiomanowicz of Alec Read Academy (pictured), who usually plays for the Under-15 Representative side and performed admirably.
Middlesex started the game strongly, dominating possession and creating early opportunities but did not take their chances, meaning that the first half ended goalless.
The second half started with Inner London taking the lead when they played a ball over the top that caught out the defence, leaving a forward able to score with a neat finish at the near post.
Middlesex were not phased and continued to dominate possession, as well as playing some great football in tight areas. Middlesex soon made this pay off when some great work down the left from Dylan Singh set up Rawn Seale to level the scores.
The game continued in the same vein and Middlesex went ahead with ten minutes remaining, thanks to another great finish by Seale to seal his brace.
