Middlesex U16 Boys 8-0 Inner London

9th February 2019, SEESFA LC Hill Trophy

The Middlesex Schools’ FA Under-16 Boys squad overwhelmed their counterparts from Inner London at Brunel University Sports Park.

Their 8-0 victory does not keep their hopes of reaching the knockout phase of the LC Hill Trophy alive, but does mean that the Seaxes’ final match of the season, against Sussex, pits a confident Middlesex team against an opponent needing a result in order to reach the last four themselves.

Barca Mitahmasebi hit a hat-trick for Middlesex and claimed the ‘Player of the Match’ accolade. He was joined on the scoresheet by Sean Alexander, Brandonne Folly, Lorcan Barnett, Dan Boswell and Negus Malcom.

After the match, manager Angus Douglas commented “This was a fantastic performance from the boys today. They were focused, switched on, got the ball down and played very well in spells. The team scored some great goals, earned a clean sheet but most of all turned up with the right mindset and it paid off.”
