Both of the Middlesex Schools’ FA’s Girls’ Representative Squads will play Kent in the Finals of the South-East regional championships.

The U14 Girls travelled to regional powerhouses Essex on 15th March, and returned home from the outstanding facilities at Barking FC with a 4-2 win.

They followed in the footsteps of the U16 Girls, who were too strong for Hertfordshire. This match, which was a home tie for Middlesex but played at Sun Postal Sports in Watford for logisitical reasons, ended 7-1 to the Seaxes.

Kent and Middlesex will now meet at both age groups. At U14, Middlesex won the last completed edition of the Essex Cup, back in 2019, while the winners of the U16 Victoria Dodds Trophy will be the first county from the south of the region to take the title since Middlesex won it in 2010; the next eight competitions were all won by Essex before Hertfordshire broke their monopoly in 2019-20.

Details of both matches will be confirmed in due course.
