Players from Middlesex have taken a significant step towards representing their country after strong showings in the English Schools’ Football Association regional trials at Rayners Lane FC last weekend.

Three matches were played as part of the selection process for the England Schoolboys team . These matches were designed to identify a squad of 18 players to represent the South-East in the Under-18 inter-regional games later this month at Lilleshall National Sports Centre where they will be playing against the other three regions of the country. The final trials in January then involve games against the RAF and the Royal Navy.  Over 50 boys from around the regions took part, with four from Middlesex being selected.

Congratulations to the successful trialists: Taffarell Aleshe, Brandon Henry, Mikaell Neymar and Carl Weser who have been chosen.

Special thanks go to Middlesex referees Neil Fyfield, Alan Cresswell and Andy Batten, and to Rayners Lane FC and their staff for hosting the trials.
