The Middlesex Schools’ Football Association is seeking committed individuals to lead its U15 and U16 Boys Representative Teams in the 2021-22 season and ideally beyond.

This is a hugely rewarding role, which enables the coach to bring young people from different backgrounds together so that they can grow as people and test themselves at an excellent level of football.

We are looking for at least two volunteer Coaches for each team. The squads will be drawn from the student populations of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow.

These squads will, like all five of the Middlesex Representative Teams, participate in the South-East England Schools’ FA competitions. This will involve matches against and travel to other County Associations within the region. Matches are usually played on Saturday mornings and we anticipate a maximum of five matches in the ‘round robin’ stage of each age group, to be followed by a semi-final and Final if each team is successful. Coaches will also be expected to attend trials for the purposes of squad selection in September 2021. Once appointed, the coaches of each team will have autonomy in terms of team selection, in-season training, etc.

If you are a qualified and passionate coach who is excited about helping young people achieve the unique and special honour of representing their County, we want to hear from you!

  • Hold a current, approved FA DBS check
  • Hold a current FA Safeguarding Children qualification

Prior experience of coaching within club or schools’ football and experience of working in education are both highly advantageous, but not essential.
