The English Schools’ Football (ESFA) is going on the road to consult with people who are involved or want to be involved in Schools’ Football.

Nine events are being held across the Country over a 4 week period either side of the Easter Holidays. The aim of the events is to provide an update on what the ESFA is doing, but to also gather the thoughts of the people who are involved with Schools’ football on a daily basis.

Mike Spinks, Chairman of the ESFA stated ‘The ESFA has been in existence over 110 years and has been at the forefront of providing football for school children during all this time and at all levels including successful International sides. However, it is important that we continually look at what we are doing. Football is changing, education has changed significantly over the last few years particularly around school sport and children in the 21st Century now have so many options and challenges we need to make sure the ESFA is meeting the requirements of those who are playing, running and teaching the game.’

‘We would like to hear from Heads of PE, School Games Organisers, Sports Partnerships, County FAs, Professional Clubs as well as our traditional membership of our District and County Associations. We want to ensure we gather feedback from all our partners to help us shape the ESFA for the next 4 years’

All events will run from 6pm-9pm, with a buffet provided on arrival. To book a place please email lorna.blakeman@schoolsfa.com detailing which event you wish to attend.

The event for the London and South-East region takes place in Middlesex, at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday 22nd April.
